I was ranking Pavement albums in my head recently and came to the conclusion that each is better than the one that came after. Watery, Domestic is easily on the same level as Slanted and Enchanted though.

I just ate some bomb-ass frozen custard. When it comes to eats, I'm good. But the turntable is still down. Pretty dark days, man.

That's not an unreasonable stance.

At some point I might have said that the last couple albums were a step down (especially Brighten The Corners), but nowadays they just feel like the perfect end to a solid '90s rock band career.

I'm playing W, D on the S&E reissue and I'lll have to expound upon your claim thusly: this band's most awesome, undervalued period was documented via the stuff found on W, D, the "W, D sessions" tracks ("So Stark" and "Greenlander" and "Sue Me Jack"??? Damn!!!), and the second disc of the Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain reissue. Gary Young on drums plus Scott and Steve doing all the parts like old times. Make an album out of that shit and it's the perfect bridge between the first two official full lengths and as good as both. That's where so many of the (often best) Wowee Zowee tracks came from, anyway.

I'm still pretty into this particular artist, yeah.

Gary Young was the shit.

I downloaded and installed a brand new unarchiver app yesterday expressly for the purpose of downloading Paves' chill-quiet storm mixes later tonight.

I think I bought everything from "Exact Wording of Threat" up to the 4-song 7 inch with the dragon on the cover as they were released, and imo they put out no bad songs over the course of those records. I think the only reason I stopped buying the singles was not wanting to start colleting 3 song cds.

I remember seeing detailed song-by-song credits for Wowee Zowee, and a few songs were complete solo SM recordings, a la "Why Don't We Do It in the Road".

Looking over the Pavement discography on Wikipedia, the only one I didn't buy was "Range Life", and that ep was called Pacific Trim.

any situation where the singular form ends in an S, you just add an apostrophe to make it plural, not another S
