^I just made a thread about this exact sort of weird statement the other day. I don't think it's that weird. In fact, I think it's the sort of curio attaché that becomes almost requisite for an opinionated music lover without ALL the time on their hands.
I think Nick's way more familiar with the whole oeuvre - I've listened to This Night and Streethawk a bunch, but I always get them confused in my head; don't really know anything before Streethawk; have ignored Trouble in Dreams and Your Blues - but Ken has some echoes of Kaputt to it. So does Poison Season. The latter's more bombastic, the former with more a "Boys of Summer" vibe, but they're definitely informed by what Bejar did on Kaputt. But yeah, there's nothing *exactly* like Kaputt. It's perfect. Check out Ken though - it's short and has a sweet lounge-y vibe that feels, to me, like the seaside version of Kaputt's hazy cityscape.
