To me, this is the most underdiscussed aspect of music festivals. They seem like a disaster for sound engineers. But the festival demographic isn't full of audiophiles so I guess they get away with it.

I don't even drink at festivals.

Bleed isn't a huge problem at P4K but yeah, not the ideal setting for a Stereolab show. Still pretty irritated I had to catch PJ Harvey there, not at a proper venue where she could stretch out into her catalog.

I'll probably go the Haim/Jeremih night.

The fact that an American tribute band are doing a UK tour is cracking me up and the fact that they're playing Derby, Blackpool and Aberdeen rather than the major cities is so perfect.

UK dates appear to be a different band.

The internet says that Carly Rae Jepsen is playing the Chicago Theatre on Tuesday, July 9. Will I be catching up with Undo or Duff or anybody else at this event, provided that I'm able to get a ticket?

Oh, and does anybody want a Todd Rundgren ticket to either of his upcoming Chicago shows for face value? I don't think I'm going to be able to make it and I have one ticket for each night. 4/23 and 4/24 at the Athenaeum.

Can confirm that Paves will be there. He bought the VIP package and will, I believe, be meeting Todd before the shows.

I got a balcony ticket for only $17(/$28.50, after fees), this morning. I expected having to pay a good deal more than that.

Facebook tells me that LoPP's very own Jesus Jones will be playing Chicago's Digital Art Demo Space (2515 South Archer Avenue) with Bill Baird on Monday, May 6. Arguably the least shitty show ever announced!
