My brother is at this right now.
At least Cut Copy are playing but I'm sure he'll skip them for almost anything else that's happening at the same time.

Holy hell.
This is... not what I was expecting. Great song, though, yeah.

I have 3 tickets to their approved events and spent all of Saturday night at work looking 4 something worth spending them on. At least they don't expire until 2020?

Re: "the concert industry"
Did U get a good view? What was the crowd like?
Neither of those things ought to even matter but I've had very specific ideas about what the experience of seeing Radiohead at Lollapalooza might be like and U can either verify that 4 me or show me that I'm all wrong about it.

Re: "the concert industry"
view was great, i was about ten rows back, front and center. they played at 8, had to show up at 5:30 and stand through an insanely dull M83 set. friends who went last year told me to show up like 6 hours in advance if i wanted any hope of getting a good spot, so thank god i didn't listen to that. it helped that there were joints being passed around all night from all directions
crowd was more tolerable than i expected, a few people losing their shit the whole time but no one being too obnoxious during the set. i heard this wasn't the case everywhere though. biggest annoyance was cameras but people got over taking pictures/video about a half hour in
lots of off-rhythm clapping and a few people tentatively trying to get singalongs going before getting too self-conscious
overall i recommend seeing Radiohead at Lollapalooza

it's pretty wild moving in the dark with a massive, stumbling crowd in one direction over a complete fucking carpet of crushed Bud Light cans

Re: "the concert industry"
Good show. Radiohead, I mean; not M83. Not as good as '08, but I certainly enjoyed myself. Still, I definitely wanted to murder more than 99% of the attendees. Sounds like I was probably 30-40 feet behind _. Also got there at 5:30. There were so many more people at the set, in 2008, when they were the sole headliners; really helped to have a number of shitty acts taking off some of the pressure.

This is more or less the same thing every year but these are the worst headliners I've ever seen.

Re: "the concert industry"
Yeah... I've been several times and I think I've made a point of watching a headliner maybe once. Rarely anything interesting. Usually a good time to leave and get a late dinner or change clothes and head to post-festival stuff.
Some pretty good names downballot, though.
