Re: Hardwood
Warriors have lost an unsavory amount of games this year in spectacular fashion like that

Re: Hardwood
Picking up 5 fouls in 10 minutes of play is actually pretty awesome.

Melo is fasho gone this summer
sure the dude wants to maximize his career earnings, but a player of his caliber without a title in his career doesn't have the luxury of standing pat if he cares one iota about his legacy

yeah. I'm watching this over three footie matches, last night's prelims, the cricket and the Crufts Best in Show.
High praise indeed.

Re: Hardwood
That shit was amazing. Missed the 4th quarter in the car, but caught overtime at my sister-in-law's house. Came home and rewatched the game from halftime on. Bulls 13-0 run after being down 12 was unbelievable even after I knew they won.

Re: Hardwood
It's a damn shame that we're going to be hamstrung by Rose's awful, unmovable contract, going forward. Such a sick game, though, yeah. Mad props to Bruegs.

Re: Hardwood
the NBA just feels so much better when the Knicks, Lakers and Celtics are all shit
we actually get a chance to be interested in good players and good basketball instead of "big markets"

Re: Hardwood
Holy shit. I went to see James's first game back in Cleveland, back in 2010, and was amazed at how high-tech every last thing about the arena was, but that night didn't have shit on that, as it turns out. Wow.

Re: Hardwood
If a Cavs player goes to the line and makes his first free throw, they play this sound and I have no idea how to describe it but it's one of my favorite sounds in the world.

Which arena plays the Mario coin sound when their team scores a basket? I enjoy that.

the pacers are so terrible right now. not optimistic about playoffs. they play miami on wednesday, so i'll reevaluate then, but the heat haven't been good lately either.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/warriors-coach-mark-jackson-forces-reassignment-of-assistant-brian-scalabrine-184142899.html
ugh
it's embarrassing how bad Jackson has been at evolving the offense over the last few years into something approaching an actual NBA system.
here's Grantland throwing back to Jackson's comments on the Kidd/Frank debacle in Brooklyn earlier this year: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/i-cannot-speak-about-jason-kidd-and-lawrence-frank-because-i-do-not-know-it-said-jackson-who-said-he-still-speaks-with-kidd-but-everybody-has-to-know-who-is-in-charge-an/
so what is assuredly happening in Golden State is that Brian Scalabrine tried to add another strong voice to the mix and has paid the price. given what we can see on the floor from Jackson's offense and his reaction to the Kidd/Frank situation, Scalabrine was probably trying to bring new ideas to the offensive end, or criticized Jackson for not improving the offensive system. that's likely the reason the front office wanted him there in the first place. to shake things up and force Jackson to adapt and not coast on the success he has already had.
maybe we can get George Karl in the offseason? my dream scenario would actually be that David Shaw gets fired and we get to bring him BACK TO THE BAY!

Re: Hardwood
i don't understand the POV of your question
how is this a thing, in that the bulls have as high of a % as they do? the bulls have been playing very well lately, beat the pacers on monday, and sports fans are reactionary and short-sighted
