this is super good, as most things that Sahel Sounds puts out are
i guess it's the next step in my ambient listening progression to be listening to literal mixes of field recordings

I have never seen this video before today.
Rivers never should have taken the sunglases off after this.

I have been getting really oddly deep into a few choice cuts from Dan Deacon lately. His vocal schtick is usually pretty obnoxious but when he refrains from singing or sings less affected/fx-ted I can really get into it. USA III: Rail is a great tune.

I can loop the whole thing. "Dundas, Ontario" is a killer intro and "Brandon" is probably my favorite track. "Schedules and Fares" also very excellent. Everything is great.

I've always thought he was a very cool dude who makes some occasionally questionable music. I saw him for free in Zellerbach Plaza at UC Berkeley back in like 2009 and he did a whole schtick where he had the crowd stand in a circle and participate in the show.
this will always be good

Re: Now Playing
I remember hearing people complain about that song a lot, and when I finally turned it on I was like "Huh, what's the big deal, this is kinda cool," and then the "chorus" happened and I was swiftly Team OHMYGODFUCKTHISGUY.

One of my ex-girlfriends and Deej's brother once dropped me off at the Metro to see a Dan Deacon show.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Ween album but one of these guys is on the Celebration Rock podcast today and he’s hilarious.

I’m listening to The Pod now and I’d say at least half of this I don’t get.
Didn’t paves love these guys?

Re: Now Playing
I love Ween. By far and away my all time favorite band. Going to check out the podcast now Reuben!
Also, The Pod is their most druggy, most out there, most "Ween" album for what it's worth. The Mollusk, Chocolate & Cheese, or White Pepper are typically easier entry points.

Chocolate and cheese and the mollusk are also my faves but that 3disc live in Chicago dvd is awesome too. It has a 20min freak out version of Voodoo Lady that’s worth a listen. I saw dean ween band a couple years ago before ween came back and that was a fantastic show. He’s a really great guitarist at least. Ween are one of those weird bands that get respect from jam band kids even though they don’t sound like Moe. Tons of sewn together pants, hemp jewelry, and dreads at that show. Vibes!

I actually like the first couple of Phil Collins-fronted Genesis efforts. "Turn it On Again" makes 5th grade KISW-listening carpool me very happy.

Yeah, I was at the first two nights of the three night stint they did when filming that DVD. It was awesome. I still think White Pepper or the Mollusk is probably the best entry points though.

Re: Now Playing
While I think the Lindsey/Christine album overall is a bit mehish, there are a couple of fantastic songs on it.
