I have always really liked Sharp (still do, too) and hoped/assumed, for several seasons, that he would become even better of a player than he has. Pains me to agree with you. It's gonna be a rough off-season. Trying not to sweat it, though, for now. Let's just hope for the best.

I'm definitely in the modern thinking man's club when it comes to hits in hockey. They are similar to huge tits, in that they are fantastic in and of themselves, but more often than not they are attached to fat chicks.
All that said, I really enjoyed watching Bickel destroy fuckers during tonight's 1st period against the Winnipeg thrash jets.

I know that the fighting thing in general is antiquated nonsense, and it probably makes me a neanderthal to say so, but I still love me a real ass fight between non hired goons, that exists solely to settle an on-ice beef. Was impressed to see Sharp even get up after that hit, let alone drop the gloves and go after the guy.
