Don't remember which thread it was that me duff and jasper hijacked to play ocarina of time, but right around the 1 minute mark this really morphs into something out of that OST.

I feel like there's an entire industry built around on the many various instances of this song, but these R the only ones I can think of atm:

There's some Orange Juice song that references "Boredom," too. I know this because I've been slowly making my way through the full-length version of Simon Reynolds's Rip It Up & Start Again, which I've had 4 nearly a decade now and haven't read due to lack of interest.
He emphasizes the importance of Spiral Scratch a lot. Basically the primary catalyst 4 "DIY" groups like Swell Maps, Desperate Bicycles, et al.
Wow!

I bought this used 4 a few dollars, in 2009. Thought it was an awful, agonizingly bland book. Like, Wikipedia's free. Right? I dunno. Not like the book did me some grave injustice or something. I just thought it was useless and kind of embarrassingly obvious, on the whole. Lots of "post-punk happened AFTER punk...but kind of at the same time, too!!!"-level insight.

No A Flux of Pink Indians chapter, either, from what I (perhaps mistakenly...?) recall. Where's this Reynolds guy get the nerve???

This blew my fucking mind, like six months ago. For years and years and years, "Goldfish" reminded me of something I couldn't put my finger on. After a while, I decided it was just one of those melodies which sounds instantly familiar because it's so perfect rather than because I'd already heard it. Then I listened to Arrival for the first time in like 20 years. Suddenly, it all became clear.
