Wasn't able to watch the game but just looking at the box score makes me think that the Sens actually could stand a chance. They're putting a lot of pucks on net and hopefully they frustrate Valkoinen at some point this series. That and of course Anderson is going to have to be the MVP of the series if Ottawa stands a chance. But they have the tools to get it done.

I think you're right though -- this was all on the Pens powerplay. Sens were putting on a lot of good pressure and getting decent chances.

Conacher needs to shrug off this kind of abuse and the refs need to call it:

It would be fun to see a goalie debate ensue during this series. If the Sens can force that to happen sooner rather than later it would obviously be to their advantage. That's probably just me over-analyzing and wanting to psychologize the game, comes from watching too much SportsCenter.

I think it could become an issue. Fleury was sulking on the bench and it looked like the Pens had no confidence in him after the Isles series. If they lose confidence in Vokoun too I could see a collapse happening.

Pens are just stacked with talent and Bylsma has a pretty ruthless gameplan imho. They were hammering the little guys (Conacher mostly), hitting Karlsson at every opportunity and taking advantage of his lack of speed compared to when he is 100%. Hopefully the long layoffs between games will work to the Sens advantage and maybe Michalek, Spezza and Karlsson will be in and in better form by Friday.

Vokoun has proven to fans and Bylsma that he is the proper goalie for the playoffs. Fleury at this point doesn't have much of a backing within Pittsburgh and many don't want to see him back on the ice.

I would like to see him back on the ice.

First period of this game was a headache. Hawks are sloppy as hell so far.. lucky to be tied.

But they have turned up the heat in the last few minutes. Another power play goal would be great right now.
