I thought that was the New York Times article. I think the whole idea of Normalcore is idiotic from the name to the theory behind it. And this is coming from someone who enjoys Macintosh Plus.

For those of you who enjoy laughing at stupid fashion, check out Pyrex Vision and Mort-Paris. Hood by Air is pretty much in that same vein. Very "Pussy Nigga" in style but hundred$ more.

Example of the first two on one guy.

Honestly if this is where fashion is or is going, I'm gonna say the whole industry should be brought down and started over.

Have wanted these for over a year now and I can finally afford to buy in like 3 weeks. These will likely be the start of a downward (upward) spiral for me guys.

I'm not sure if the shoes are objectively bad. I can't get down with that sole.

That sole looks incredibly comfortable, but too chunky for my taste. Being tall with long feet, I'm usually looking for a shoe to minimize my footprint, especially if it's dressy. Probably looks just fine on some 5'9" guy.

Not digging the gold foil stamping, but I don't hate it either. It's minimal enough.

I'm 6'2" and yeah, the gold stamping is the only part I'm not super sold on but it is one of the better forms of branding, if the brand/designer feels the need to go that route. Fendi has a similar version I like a little bit more but they run $850 where as the above can be had for under $300 occasionally.

I don't spend enough on underwear either, I basically refresh my undo stack every 5-6 months.

Also objectively bad shoe makes no sense but I didn't expect them to be universally loved on this board. Going to get some loafers and new sneakers too, the latter likely from the same company as these derbies here.

Speaking of branding, this was kind of unfortunate.

    Raf Simons X Adidas

Really badly want these shoes for some reason. Another one of those pairs of shoes that I feel you either love or hate, but seeing how difficult it was today to even find a pair to try on, a fair amount of people love them.

That's a weird thing to think. Tried a pair on today, they are actually quite heavy and seem pretty well made but they didn't have my size and I'm not sure I want to spend so much money on completely impractical shoes.

I'm a very conservatively dressed person, I'm afraid. My most adventurous item of clothing is probably, like, a jumper with a pattern.

Having said that, I would like silver steel boots if I can ever find the pair I picture in my mind that look less retarded than

You should wear lots of oddly draped and cut black stuff I think. No skirts or anything but I think you could do cool layering with extra long bottom layers and mean boots and stuff. Given I only recall one picture of you but pictures say a thousand word my friend, and those words were "I am Soma from the internet, and I should wear stranger clothes"
