Re: Clothes houndz.
I saw a dude with an Overfiend tee a few weeks ago and just assumed it was homemade until I saw another one on your Insta today, Cpoots.
When I was teaching in Japan in '02 one of my students found out I liked the film and made me an Amano Jaku heaven kanji tee. I really liked it but it had the unfortunate quality of attracting hentai otaku in the street (all male, obvs).

Ah yeah the Supreme collaboration. This is also the collection that produced the infamous "finger bang" hoodie which can be seen on slide #11 of one of my Highsnobiety photo sets.

Pretty impressive to do a Toshio Maeda collaboration that doesn't involve tentacles.

Re: Clothes houndz.
i followed you on IG yesterday and was impressed with your Amare Stoudemire picture lol. dude is a bit of a nutcase but has great style.
i work for a marketing and design firm that works with a lot of high end retail, so i spend a lot of time looking at the Instagram pages of well-crafted lifestyle brands. it's pretty annoying because it makes me want to drop $200 on tablecloths.

Think I'm going to buy a Coach bomber/varsity type jacket today. Black shearling front and back panel, coffee brown leather sleeves. Fits great, looks a little silly, perfect for San Francisco winter weather!

If you're ordering online they are offering 10% cash back on Ebates today. Normally 2%.

Nah, it was actually at a second hand store but clearly had never been worn more than like 5 times. twas gone though, at $300 it was a damn good deal.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Those look amazingly functional.
Like, I have no doubt those would hold up to some heavy duty distance training. Though clearly the main selling point is that they look baller as fuck.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Those Tom Sachs, the Virgil Nikes, and the Balenciaga sock trainers are everywhere in Soho. And now that the Balenciaga Triple S got released I've seen like 3 pairs today too. I like the first three of these four shoes, the last one I really cannot understand why anyone would buy them, let alone pay $850 for them.

Re: Clothes houndz.
do any of you guys like tights? wear tights?
i find myself rocking the 20-year-old-celebrity look of shorts over tights a bunch when i'm casually lying around. or even just a $10 pair of Joe Boxer long johns with some running shorts over it. i have a $100 pair of Smartwool tights that i bust out when it gets even the slightest bit nippy (like now, when it's 48 degrees in the morning).
i want to continue wearing more tights. i have a $90 pair of tights arriving today that i'm gonna test out and see how they feel. tights!

Re: Clothes houndz.
In addition to the comfortable pair I have from Old Navy, I own a very expensive pair that I bought on sale when Sports Authority was going out of business last year. I forget the brand but they're the most elite athleticwear I possess.

Do any of you know where I can find some extra long button down shirts? I'm talking a length too long to tuck in, not just tall guy long.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Went to the outlets and rounded out my staples/necessities at Uniqlo, getting ready for that chilly SF winter. Grabbed a super super long black wool and cashmere sweater at Acne, got a think viscose dark navy button down from Saint Laurent, and a bunch of long T-shirts, heattech white roll neck long sleeve Ts, and a black pull over hoodie.
Going to pick up some all-white vans old skools (prob) and these Neil Barrett derbys:

Re: Clothes houndz.
Just made some online purchases while I wait for the above shoes to hopefully go on sale. Picked up a Golden Bear wool teddy/varsity jacket:
and some Axel Arigato white tennis kicks. Really similar quality and construction as Common Projects with a slightly chunkier sole and a price tag at half:
I like the slightly off-white soles on these too, looks good with a pleated pant.

i keep thinking about this jacket Soma. do you remember now what the one you actually got is?
all of my winter ware is pretty anti-fashion. a remnant of my younger days where every single piece of clothing i got was Earth tones, navy blue, or black. so i don't have a hooded, winter warmth jacket that i can wear to work or a night out and still look good. i mostly layer instead.
anyone have suggestions of styles and brands in this mold to check out?

Re: Clothes houndz.
Looks like a hooded canvas cotton bomber jacket. You should be able to find a ton of options at any price point for a similar style. They are a pretty big item right now (and most of the time) so everyone makes some version of it.

Holding out for some hot Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals. I like some of the new pieces from the Mr. P collection but am going to assume they won’t be marked down until Spring.

Do you know when Mr. Porter sale usually starts? If I recall, they don't often kick it off until December or January.

Well, they are having a Thanksgiving offer with exclusions though I don’t know what that will encompass. I think their site wide is usually in January.

Re: Clothes houndz.
I'm pretty sure Ssense has their semi-annual coming up soon. Looks like they've got a ton of stock from F/W still too so I'm hoping for a grab bag. I honestly have no idea how they stock so many pieces from so many brands but it almost guarantees there will be some shit left over.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Both of these sales are going on today. Ssense between 20%-50% on basically everything, Mr. Porter has 30% on a bunch of stuff.
