I’ve been enjoying the new Chemical Brothers album and until c-poots brought it up earlier in this thread I didn’t know they had a new one out.

The black midi album is really cool. It will be all over the EOY lists and deservedly so.

I really enjoyed a few songs on the last Sandy Alex G album, like Poison Root and Proud and Bobby. The new tune didn't strike me as much but looking forward to hearing the new album anyway.

Dawn Chorus segment of the PTA Anderson long-music-video is really fantastic.

Yeah, I loved that whole video. Really bizarre actually, for many years I've felt my Radiohead fandom was a thing of the past but recently I've dived back in to p much all their stuff and it turns out I still like them a lot. Gonna sign off on this very generic post by saying that the PTA collaboration came at the perfect time for me and I'm very glad that it exists

I agree with all this words. I've recently gotten back into Radiohead and rediscovered some songs I always passed on. The PTA video is really great and again, the Dawn Chorus segment made me happy and sad and I'm also glad that it exists. The choreography for that segment, coupled with them stepping into the light, the tracking shot of the train, it all felt really great.

Also a fan of ANIMA. "Runwayaway" has some bits that sound a lot like one of my favorite radiohead deep cuts, "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors."

I haven’t listened to their release yet but thought they were amazing on kexp live. Enjoyed watching that. Drummer is great. Only weakness I felt were in the vocals...not into it so much but it didn’t distract from their overall vibe at least. Looking forward to checking the album out!

I haven’t listened to much SJ but gave the Purple Mountains album several tries since Friday. There are a couple outstanding songs on there but the whole sad white dude gimmick gets super tiring by the end.

In fact by the final track when he drops the, “No one is fond of fucking me / No one’s fucking fond of me” line I’m like Jesus Christ pull yourself together.

I'm really glad that I am not the only one who was thinking that... It's kind of unbearable honestly.


I have become a huge Rosalía fan. She's so fucking awesome. That single is almost all in Catalan but it really pissed off the right wing assholes in Catalonia that she used a few colloquial Spanish phrases. Also, she decided to advertise that single in the business pages of Marca, El Pais, or one of those big Spanish newspapers. Kind of an obvious gimmick, but it made me laugh. Her album from last year is absolutely fantastic.

Strange Ranger released an indie pop gem today.

Foxtrot Sierra & His Uniforms - 3:33 O’clock

Instrumental surfy/bluesy psych rock with synths and drum machines. It’s like Wooden Shjips without vocals. Don’t know what it is about this bands music but I picture Paves playing guitar in the band. Fans of early Ween may find some stuff to enjoy.

Not sure if anyone has listened to the new Oh Sees album but it feels like a culmination of their previous two but blown out to the maximum. It’s over an hour long with a 20 minute closing track but actually flows really well.
