William Tyler sounds pretty but not something I would seek out. Malibu Ken, no. Sarah Louise seems cool though a bit sleepy. Helado Negro and SASAMI are kind in my songwriter/beatmaker type of wheelhouse though neither one caught my attention immediately. I like the Panda Bear record (which I've listened to all the way through) in theory, but can't find moments where I want to put it on.
I listen to a lot of Soundcloud/mumble rap trash lol.

Speaking of not liking things, I do not like this These New Puritans album one bit. Ok, maybe I kinda like "A-R-P," but certainly not enough to ever intentionally listen to it again.

'We Want War' is a song from Hidden, an album I am personally rather fond of that doesn't sound anything like and (both imo and by overwhelming consensus) is dwarfed by their follow up, Field of Reeds. Based on what little I know of your taste I wouldn't particularly expect you to enjoy any of their work, but man, such a unique and brilliant album. I still haven't got around to hearing this new one but I'm trying to temper my expectations somewhat b/c I can't expect it to live up to them after 6 years of silence w/ that as their prior release

A Billboard representative provided another statement to Rolling Stone indicating that race did not play a part in Lil Nas X’s track being removed from the country chart. Though, in the past, Billboard has had a history of defining genres by race.

I tried listening to that Fennesz album today and the entire thing sounds like the opening seconds of White Snake’s “Here I Go Again” on repeat.

Is this song actually featured in the video game?
Or did someone (possibly even Lil Nas X himself?) just edit a music video together out of Red Dead Redemption scenes for this? Asking because this song is now in the top 20 and this is still the most Official music video for the song that exists.

I wasn't even looking forward to this and had really lost interest in everything they were doing at this point (mind you, after still being really into them really deep into this decade).
This is an opinion based on just one listen, so take it or leave it: this is easily the best thing they've done in 20 years.

Really wanted to see them live but I couldn’t find anyone that would agree to go with me, LOL!
This past week I listened to Sunn0))) and the new Inter Arma and came to the conclusion I didn’t like the majority of new music I’d heard this year. It was just placeholder until something like these 2 albums came along.

I heard this dude a few years ago and thought it was Nas under another name. Turns out it’s some Eastern European dude from New York but he sounds like Nas. His voice is similar but his imagery and overall skill are equally on par. Recommend for fans of Nas, Doom, GZA and other classic New York MCs. Maybe not one of the best you’ll hear all year maybe but it’s a good listen.
