Spurs scored four in five minutes against Southampton twenty years ago and I think Valencia did similar in not too distant past but I can't think of anything that is equivalent to that absolute bumming.

I have seen some arse-rapings in my time but that was something else.

Re: Futebol
After the first goal I assumed Brazil would settle down and it would end 2-1 or something. But I was watching while on a conference call and my head was spinning. I would look away from one monitor and then check back. I couldn't tell if they were replays or new strikes at one point.
Now I'm wondering if that is the real Germany or if Brazil was just that dreadful.

Re: Futebol
Watching Brazil meet their maker in a German biergarten was one of of the most exciting things I've ever been involved in.
This wouldn't be anywhere near as funny if it was any team other than Brazil.

Re: Futebol
I've found the knock out rounds to be mostly average but the Brazilian collapse and the resulting fall out is making this an incredible overall World Cup. Final still to come but this is easily the most fun I've had watching a WC.
Watching a replay of the 3rd place match now and you've got shit like "this is being called an $11 billion calamity" and "will any of these players ever wear the Brazilian shirt again" being said. Just incredible.
Also so fucking pumped to see Liverpool play at Soldier Field in a couple weeks. New domestic seasons kick off in like a month!

Re: Futebol
Very interesting how two World Cups running have ended with deep into extra time goals that were both terrific strikes by the team most deserving to win.
This German side has the look of Spain for the past 8 years. So much youth and talent that they'll be favored to win the Euros and barring an injury decimated side should be the favorite heading into Russia.

One of my friends is convinced he looks like Wayne Rooney.
I don't think he's even being self-deprecating.

torn between Jefferson and Gylfi - same price, can see both doing well this year but I don't want two Swansea midfielders. #fwp

I'm in for Siggy on FPL after considering Puncheon or Snodgrass for that slot.

Re: Futebol
Are you kidding me Balotelli going to Liverpool?!?! I love this signing. They got a dude that has shown the potential to be the best striker in the world for a ridiculously cheap price. The EPL needs characters like this and a Balo / Sturridge / Sterling attack could be amazing.
OMG the Rodgers press conferences after a Balo on field meltdown could be amazing.

If it ends up being Borini sold for £14m, Mario bought for £16m, then that's some good business.

Yeah, that's amateur hour. Maybe just the red Sin City logo would look fine with no box or accompanying text. Black on the red jersey.

How awesome was Luke Moore on The Football Ramble half joking / half serious asking if Real Madrid could win La Liga and the SPL if they played in both leagues simultaneously?

Re: Futebol
They sold off all their top players this summer and to be playing this well is incredible. You'd expect them to fade eventually but I hope they keep this run going.
