Sunburned Hand Of The Man has made what I consider to be their best album. I suppose best comes down to how much you love the way they improvise. Because they do not do that on this album. This thing is basically a classic rock/folk album. There are pop songs that wouldn’t sound out of place on weens later albums. There are ‘backseat of your car with a joint’ instrumental jams that might remind you of early doobie brothers, and every other track has a piece of poetry that goes with it. I imagine it’s what New York cafes may have sounded like in the 60s. I’m not as well read as many of you so I don’t know how ‘good’ the poetry is but I love it. Give this one a go if you want well done classic rock/folk sound, it’s worth your time

I am not one to get too excited by pre release. Typically, there isn’t enough offered and I’m not that big of a fan of any artist. But this new SUMAC album may be one of the best things ever if the one track being offered, Yellow Dawn, is any indication. I bought mine, did you buy yours?

When is the release date for Sumac? Can’t find it online but I did like the last release quite a bit. Though it was overwhelming at times and I definitely needed to be in the mood.
