I have trouble getting through Trap Lord all the way in one listen. I like the album but just need a break from it at some point.

Ferg has a diverse range of styles and his lyrics and beat selection are top notch. If I still made a yearly list, Trap Lord would make the cut.

Can we talk about that fucking Kanye West interview on The Breakfast club itt? It's really frustrating to me. I've been trying to defend that guy for years and The College Dropout is unapologetically one of the most important albums to me ever. But, fuck, that guy is a total fucking jackass.

I love Kanye more with every interview he gives. Still like the Death Grips album better though.

How can you say that? With each interview he develops new contradictions and intensifies the old ones.

The homie needs to take his own advice and pump the breaks and drive slow.

Musically I didn't find Yeezus to be very captivating or exciting. I already knew what Rustie/TNGHT/Evian Christ sounded like and throwing a bunch of money at their sound didn't really better it anyway. Kanye is always going to be a better producer than he will be a rapper. And I don't even know what the fuck fashion merchandising is but I don't understand why he is so concerned with it.

What I took from his interview with The Breakfast Club is that he is indignant that there are only 7 billionaires of African descent. That is a discrepancy worth pointing out but making that the basis for your own artistic motivation isn't really enticing. We have not, and hopefully will never, reach a new revolutionary phase where money becomes the means through which we can achieve (racial) equality. I don't even know how to interpret what the fuck this guy is saying anymore to be honest.

I don't want my hip hop artists to act like Drake or fucking Jay Z I want them to act like Kanye.
