Am I getting negged more often because people are upset with posts? Growing disinterested with my shtick? Or is it just SpiritOfEden seeking vengeance because I told him I wanted to reach though my computer screen and choke him?

I think Spiritofeden, Ned Braden and some of the other rock and rollers will enjoy this. Dilettantes and dabblers could certainly do worse in 2013.
I'm enjoying listening to this right now as I reflect on what Blaze probably listened to in 2013. Thanks Ted.

Re: 2013 Musical Recordings
Makes sense. Sorry doggs, I've been overreacting because I've been stuck inside for the past week with nothing to do and am pissed at myself for being on the Internet instead of making better use of my time. I've been reading a lot of hipinion stuff and I want to thank everyone here from reining my shit in throughout the years. I probably would have been, and to a certain degree still am, as obnoxious as some of the people on there.
I love all of you. Even you, SpiritOfEden. Keep on rocking in the free world dogg. Goodnight.

Re: 2013 Musical Recordings
Anyway the new Burial EP is out there and it is utterly ridiculous.
both in the "ridiculously good" sense and in the sense that it is conventionally "ridiculous," because the second track is a power ballad.

When that opening track kicks in and I heard that sample I lost it. This must have been what the moon landing was like for the previous generation.

Has this leaked? I don't expect a digital release for it.

I like the extreme riffage of Diarrhea Planet. I hope they don't turn into total pussies like The Men did after Leave Home.

I'm about to drink a few and delve way too deeply into this up my alley thing. Released a day too late for Blaze via my Facebook.

I asked the only black girl in the office if she has heard the new Beyoncé & she thinks it is OK but that people are overreacting.

Re: 2013 Musical Recordings
did anyone actually listen to this?
very weird and the songs can sound a little thin, but there's still something interesting here and they're still an interesting duo. "Alive" is pretty sweet. i might get all the way through this, actually.
a song like this does more to suggest their next album will be good than it does to convince me they've arrived

Somehow I haven't listened to the new EotS. Will probably rectify that during work tomorrow.

I can't recall the other Chromatics songs (or any other songs) from AD2. As soon as I heard "Cherry," I just put it on repeat.

I enjoyed this so much today. I love that there's an American version of Bag Raiders and that they're actually really good.
Are there people who would defend the new Cut Copy but not even listen to this?

Ahhhh thank you. I had heard Safe and Sound several times while out, but didn't know what it was as it wormed around in my head for a while. I'll check out the album, thanks.

looking at their release artwork on Spotify, it must be the same guy doing all their covers. he/she is interesting.
"Safe and Sound" was good. this is closer to indie-dance than full on dance or house music for me though.

Re: 2013 Musical Recordings
I know Capital Cities are being positioned as the kind of band I should like, but when I hear that song I get too much of a Bastille vibe. Undo's recommendation carries a lot of weight, though, so I'll be spotifying that shit.
