I do. Almost all of the time.

When it comes to rap music coming out in the year 2013 I mostly rep the resurgence of the old school Triple Six sound (SGP's BMW EP at the beginning of this year is great, Amber London's album this year was great, I haven't listened to all of Curry's Nostalgic 64 but he is really talented).

Beyond that I'm into a lot of stuff coming out of 1017 Bricksquad (Gucci has been prolific, (Young) Thug is great, Scooter is cool. I dug Future's first mixtape this year and wish that his new album would finally come out in full. And Shy Glizzy is pretty dope too.

I listen to a lot of other shit. I actually really like a lot of what Black Hippy comes out with, but mostly gravitate towards a few standout singles. A$AP Mob is kind of boring as shit but every now and again one of them does something interesting. Yo Gotti has a few tracks that came out this year that I liked. I'm just being a facetious cunt when I poke fun at people for listening to Trap Lord or whatever. I'm sure it's dope but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

As for Lil Ugly Mane. He's actually my favorite artist of the past two years. Mista Thug Isolation is worth checking out and is unbelievably solid from start to finish. He is the perfect amount of clever (listen to the lyrics on "Serious Shit") and just raw and aggressive as fuck. He doesn't get lost in bad cultural references which seems all to common in rap/hip-hop nowadays. I'd actually be really curious to here what some of you think of tracks like "On Doing An Evil Deed Blues" or "Uneven Compromise".

And for the record it was a friend who turned me onto his shit and I used to get actually hostile with him when he'd try to play it in the car. It is pretty hard to overcome the initial insanity of listening to the music of someone called Lil Ugly Mane...

It's actually hilarious that they need to assure us all of this. Who cares if you were listening to Death Grips while making it? It is an obvious sonic influence and MC Ride is always going to be way more punk rock than Mr. Kardashian. If Kanye wanted to make a punk rap album, I'm not sure if that is what he was going for, then he should have been focusing on destroying shit other than Kim's pussy.

Also, lately I'm starting to feel much older and it is depressing. I set a bunch of goals for myself this break and instead I have sat around in my apartment becoming perplexing self-aware and developing a bunch of neurotic health concerns. It fucking sucks but I'm not going to further derail this thread by elaborating on my bad state of consciousness.

Pretty much. I feel some dark days up ahead for me. I just know that if it is difficult for me to maintain emotional stability at this point it is going to be damn near impossible when I am forced to enter the job market as a fucking "philosophizer".

I dig what I am doing in school a lot right now and I wouldn't change it because I am fairly good at it and it is what I am interested in doing. But it is totally going to fuck me so hard in the future and I no amount of academic or mental preparation is going to help me avoid this impending doom.

Never leave school then. That's what my philosophy teacher recommended, at least. Just keep getting your degrees until they hire you.

Yup, pretty much my plan at this point. It can be expensive obviously and I am only interested in continental philosophy/French theory/whatever you want to call it. I really don't care much for analytic philosophy/logic/etc. Mostly because I am not smart enough but also because I don't want to sit in my fucking ivory tower developing proofs for the existence of God (I know that a gross and totally inaccurate simplification but I assume none of you will take offense to it).
