Re: NFL Discussion
The new MBV album is only the second most surprising thing in the past 12 hours. The first most surprising would be Favre's coming out of hiding and somehow getting me to love him again.

Re: NFL Discussion
First commercial i saw on ESPN America while watching this was probably way better than whatever cgi jumping lizards you guys are watching in the home land. This dude snuck out of bed on his wife, walked downstairs, turned on the tv and the allusion was that he was jerkin it. He was all "oh yeah" and the wife walked down and turned on the light and BOOYA! he was watching his favorite favourite team on ESPN America and holding a big foam number 1 finger.

Re: NFL Discussion
Watching John Harbough bitch and whine at the NFL representatives during that power outage was disgusting. I hope that 49ers come back and win. I hope Ray Lewis breaks his arm in 8 different places. And I hope John Harbough gets sodomized by his brother after the game.

Haven't listened to Spiegel's sports talk show in a while since I'm not into hockey, but tomorrow morning's show should be popcorn.gif.

Re: NFL Discussion
Urlacher is probably a fringe HOF candidate. He had more average season than great but benefited from the Chicago sports media embellishing his performances.
I think Urlacher - much like Charles Woodson - will be considering retirement now. Contending teams will see the film and realize they have nothing left.

Bears are going to pick Manti. I'm done with the NFL. Only one play maker picked in the first dozen selections. Snooze fest.

No. Just not really interested in the sport anymore. The injuries and rule changes are discouraging.

Green Bay picks Lacy & Franklin in the same draft. Damn that offense could be special if those guys turn out to be solid pros.

I'm going to buy a vintage 80s Green Bay satin jacket to celebrate training camp being 9 days away. We are almost there! The only American sport that matters is about to start up.

Re: NFL Discussion
i have the seahawks in my annual superbowl pool.
i'm expecting my colts to go 9-7 and miss the playoffs.
new orleans is a very interesting team to watch this year w/ the return of Payton and the chip they've got on their shoulders.
good luck to all your respective teams, unless they are the Chargers or Patriots in which case I hope they shit the bed week in and week out.

Re: NFL Discussion
This is the day of the year when Bears fans usually start crowing about winning the division, since Chicago won their first game and Green Bay lost. Per usual, I'm accepting wagers from anyone who thinks the Bears will finish with a better record than the Packers. How many members-only Ninja Turtles Fan Forum Dollars do you homers wanna risk?

Re: NFL Discussion
Chicago media and fans are hyped today because they beat the Bengals - a team that is pegged to win what may arguably be the shittiest division in the NFL this year.
I would not make that wager. Especially after having my expectations exceeded by GB yesterday. I think if Burnett and Hayward play and the ref does not fuck up that is a GB win.

Re: NFL Discussion
Yeah, that botched enforcement of offsetting dead-ball penalties was pretty brutal. Pretty sure San Fran kicks a field goal if they handle it correctly.

Re: NFL Discussion
Now that Loveless Smith is finally gone, I'm feeling awfully Madroxish about the Bears. I figure the over/under on regular season wins should be 14.5. Woe be unto they who underestimate the significance of a narrow-ass victory over the 2013 Bengals of Cincinnati!
