after three listens, i found the DJ Q album to be very consistent, a little cheesy, overall enjoyable, but lacking in two or three superlative songs

I haven't heard the new Neon Trees album but I remember thinking that their debut* was the most ineffectual sounding thing I've ever heard. Literally the sound of nothing.

*My spell-checker wants me to correct 'debut' to 'début'.

Yeah, sorry. I didn't realize that people would be so hilariously offended/terrified that somebody has a different opinion. Especially after some recent talk about people having evolved beyond being upset that other people like/dislike different music than they themselves do. I guess that some of y'all still have some growing up to do. No worries, though. I'm hardly perfect, myself, and I'm glad to have been able to help remind us not to get too excited to pat ourselves on the our backs. I still think that she looks sub-human (I wasn't kidding--I just think she's gnarly and I probably always will), but beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm not sorry for thinking that she looks like, uh...somebody who is too thin, though. I reserve that right, just as Miguel has the right to think that "frigid ice queen," I believe it was, is a good thing. Diff'rent strokes.
