Yes indeed. Really like the dynamic palette, moves between crushing doom and angular post rock pretty nimbly. Cleaner sound too.

I got the new Dead Rider on Saturday. It's pretty cool. The a-side is a little bit of a ripoff of The Ballad of Dwight Fry, which is cool, and the b- might be an outtake from the white rapper who used to be in the band.

Have you heard the new(er) Mark Fell/DJ Sprinkles EPs?

yeah. I liked the music but i found the samples on both eps really off putting. i find both of those dudes(?) more overtly political stuff very heavy handed.

GIS'ing Mark Fell is a favorite pastime of mine, although I haven't jammed his elite music in a while.

Saw him live like November 2013.  His set was just a no frills minimal drone that got gradually louder over the course of 45 minutes or so.  

Some people that I ran into afterwards were unimpressed but I enjoyed myself.

This is the kind of thing yeahduff would like.

After seeing them on Fallon, I'm super excited for the new Faith No More album and super bummed I missed the show last week.

Prurient's album is an exhausting listen and I can't decide if it was a good exhausted after I was done.

Still got it!

New Jim O'Rourke - streaming on NPR - is really nice. Been revisiting his back catalogue in anticipation of this record. Most of his stuff, outside of Insignificance, made very little sense to me when I tried to "get" it 7-8 years ago. Dude is a treasure on the scale of Bill Callahan in my esteem now.
