2015 Musical Recordings

Looking at all these year end lists, and wracking my brain to come up with just one 2015 album release I listened to, and I don't think there is one.

I've been youtubing full Yo La Tengo albums on Sunday mornings the past couple weeks, but don't thing I even managed to hear their new one.

I did pick up a Nazareth record a few weeks ago while I was "Christmas shopping" though. So it's not like I gave up on listening to cool music.

Worth looking into if you're interested in hearing a decent rock album:

I've been enjoying Fact Mag's top albums / songs so much I guess I need to pay more attention to their advice during the course of the year more.

Yeah, thats a pretty good list. I haven't heard most of it, and the ones I have heard (besides the Rustie) are already on my top EOY list so a good sign I should read more. I forgot Jam City at EOY, I remember liking it months ago but can't remember what it sounds like now.

Yeah, definitely feeling this one. It's such a relentlessly catchy homage to early Prince and 80's disco wave sensibilities. It's a really fun listen. I defy anyone to get drunk and resist retarded dancing, it's nearly impossible.

I missed Garden of Delete when it came out but listen to it daily for about 3 weeks now. What a terrific album.

I don't want to go to work today.

This was rectified a week ago, btw. We have more albums lists on SOMB than I remember there being for at least 2 years, maybe.

Nah, even if we disregard both deadlines, there were more last year.

This is really fantastic. I don't miss the guitars at all. Really top hole pop melodies and construction.

no shit. Didn't know about this until I read this post - I really should just subscribe to the palilalia tumblr - but I bought the record and I love everything about it. Prob my favorite thing from last year.
