Revisited this album this morning fueled by the new one coming out and the above post. This album and really the whole Bjork catalogue up until Vespertine was the soundtrack to all of my early drug experiences. The group of ravers that I was hanging out with at the time were obsessed with bjork and always had some album on. Hearing Her way of singing when you're rolling is an experience to be had though. Probably similar to seeing God in multi colored puke at a pink Floyd show in the early 70s, I bet.

I don't understand the "seeing God in multi colored puke" reference.

It's a lesser known story of Michael Gira's from when he was a teen at a Pink Floyd concert. Can't remember where I first read it.

I did not recognize "seeing God in multi colored puke at a pink Floyd show in the early 70s" as a reference to anything in particular but had no trouble understanding completely.

Currently elbow-deep in the Khotin and Levon Vincent LPs. Good stuff both.

I used to have the best mixtape of this kind of stuff. There was one track that had a bunch of Burroughs samples that I used to love. No idea what happened to it though.

I probably won't ever get to have that much fun listening to music and it depresses me to think about.phixed wrote:

Zero.
However, I have recently read multiple Pitchfork features about this guy for some reason.

Re: 2015 Musical Recordings
I don't know what the deal is but I really enjoy the last 3-4 songs in Father John Misty's album. I probably haven't explored new music in 2015 at an aggressive enough pace, the songs might actually be good or I'm settling in my mid-30s in a place where this is music targeted for me.

Nice!
Really dig these guys. And that album cover is great. It looks the way I want my music to sound. Except for the times when I want my music to sound like the Moodymann cover.

Yeah I gave this album a shot the other day and I gotta say i'm a fan of this band.
Any of you guys that like Bowies late 70's proto-goth period or stuff like throbbing gristle, joy division, or bauhaus should give a listen.
