Streaming the CSN+ broadcast of the Hawks in shitty quality on my laptop.

Fuck the Canucks. I already hate this team way more than the Packers. They are an attack on hockey aesthetics. From their putrid jerseys, playing of Skrillex in their stadiums, and the limp-dick fan reaction to Duncan Keith.

The Hawks remain undefeated in regulation. Another nail bitter that's going into 5 minutes of extra time. Great penalty killing by the Hawks so far this year.

Re: [solved]Hockey Talk
That was pitiful. Props to Crawford and Saad in that game. I hope that Bolland's injury isn't as serious as it looked.
And Patrick Sharp needs to step it the fuck up.

"That was criminal," Quenneville said of Ray Emery, who stopped 45 shots before going 3-for-3 in the shootout to lead the Blackhawks to a 3-2 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome. "They've got to call the cops after that performance. He stole two points. He was spectacular. I've never ever been outplayed, out-chanced like that in my life."

Wp64, I don't know how you can cheer for the Habs after getting a game stolen by Emery and Hossa like that.

Re: [solved]Hockey Talk
I mean where do you think those guys learned to lean on a hot goal tender for 55 minutes until its time to play some hockey?

Both former Senators, gotcha. Whatever. Habs win.

Did some research on the Ottawa Senators just now. I realized that you have been following this team since its creation and that they have never not yet won a Stanley Cup. I hope they do so I can witness the joy of a true fan through via a message board.
Also, sucks to lose the 1-0 lead that quickly tonight. Go Sens!

Re: [solved]Hockey Talk
What a fun match-up tonight. Great team effort by the Hawks for that come from behind victory on the road.
It was fun watching this team score 14 goals in their first three games and dominate their competition. Since then though the Hawks have just been doing a great job picking their spots and capitalizing on opportunities when they need to. It hasn't been pretty and that's what makes it even more impressive.
They remain unbeaten in regulation and increase the point total to 18. Feels good to be a Hawks fan right now!

Re: [solved]Hockey Talk
WP64 let me tell you it was tough to watch them lose to Pronger and the Ducks back in 2007. The only thing that made it bearable was seeing the Twisted Misters win the World Series of Pop Culture and then passing the bar examination.wp64 wrote:Did some research on the Ottawa Senators just now. Re: [solved]Hockey Talk
So what this means is that the Bruins shed the last year of his four-year, $20 million contract (prorated), while gaining some salary-cap flexibility, and the Islanders gain some insurance that they’ll be able to reach the cap floor.
Although the Islanders sent back a conditional second-round pick in 2014 or 2015 in the deal, it is unlikely those conditions are ever met. It is believed that the condition is whether Thomas ever reports to and plays for the Islanders or any team that acquires his rights in a trade.

Re: [solved]Hockey Talk
The Committed Indian blog linked to an article about that trade with the quote, "Tim Thomas is a Gorton Fisherman." I didn't realize it had anything to do with the Isles at first.

I'm back at home for the day so that I can focus and write these 3 midterm papers. I am about to stream the Ottawa game on a 50 inch HD television. Pretty fucking pumped about this.
