The name means menswear or, more literally, "gentleman suiting" in Japanese.

Was not aware of rewardStyle, don't know what that is but maybe!

Also, Scott Schuman seems to be very regarded quite lowly in the industry and I find him pretty awful but that doesn't mean I don't post links to my site on his. New York Fashion Week:Men is coming in July, and if I am living in Europe in September I'll likely be traveling to Milan, London, and Paris for their respective fashion weeks each season.

Thanks for checking it out loppers.

I packed one suitcase of clothes for 100+ degree weather and was pretty cold in Berlin. So I went to a thrift store and quickly purchased a blue sweater. Turns out that I really like it tho! Only cost 5 Euros too!

Managed to get 4 pieces of clothing originally priced at a total of $4,000 for around $500-$600 at Century 21. All from Burberry Prorsum Spring 2014. Also hit up the Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet Mall (lol) and got some Dolce & Gabbana wool trousers for about $120 that were originally $650 or so. Probably won't go shopping for another year!

Paris Mens fashion week is wrapping up too, lots of OK stuff, nothing blew me away this time but a lot of men's stuff you need to see and feel in the store to really get a sense of it.

Is it because you read boring books about people who trade stocks? Maybe I should start doing that.. eh

All I want is the suit Keanau wears in John Wick. Maybe a few just to rotate.

WP: I have a decent paying job, not sure why anyone with a pretty good salary would kill themselves over $600 worth of clothes. Also, the book isn't boring, just dry. And its not about stock traders.

I like clothes and fashion, its just like any other hobby people spend their money on really.

I don't really care either. But, I would argue it isn't really like other hobbies. Yancy never wore his pinball machines. And purchasing fine clothing isn't something that you can get better at, excel at, or what have you.

We have had this conversation before though and I am just being a dick. Shop on, Michael K!

I wear t-shirts with Nintendo references and typography jokes on the regular. And like, say, music, part of it is about staying on trend. Pretty plain to see while looking out the window that some people are better at clothes than others.

also, that's some silly logic you got there, WP. Being into fashion is just as viable a hobby as collecting pinball machines, knitting, collecting records, wine, etc. Don't see how "getting better" is a requirement of a hobby.

Sorry. I don't know why the fuck I said Michael K.... I'm really fucking tired guys. And I guess the main difference is that you don't wear your record collection. I don't know man, I am wrong. It's fine. I think the same thing about make-up. People will make the claim that it is an art, that it is for one's own self-confidence, etc. But to me it is just always an image thing and I am personally made uncomfortable by the idea of trying in that way. Probably because I know that I can't actually pull it off and so I'll just stick to simple colors and pants and hope that I continue to get laid regardless! howyadoin

I used to throw around cash like that but it's getting harder these days. Went from being single and having full cost of living allowance in the UK to being married, with a mortgage, with a dog, without COLA in Virginia. And without job security! Though I did just shell out a whole bunch on a watch (Christopher Ward stainless steel, 42mm custom RAF SQN design) and a trip to Brazil (for my wife... Unfortunately I'll be stuck on a boring gray ship).

It's too warm out right now for me to put fourth an honest effort with clothes. I'm either wearing a Michael Jordan jersey or a recently purchased D'angelo concert t. Or nothing. Casual shorts above the knee. I am probably reference a. in support of the Americans can't dress nice theory.

    1. Blue silk shantung button down.

    2. Green silk shantung pleated bib front shirt

    3. Linen trousers and "Cerulean Blue" cashmere knit zip collar sweater

Some Dolce & Gabbana pants too that are just heavy wool trousers that fit a bit loose and sit high.

Anyone else into band collar shirts? I can't decide if a linen band collar is a great summer look I can wear with any type of pants and even throw a blazer over for a meeting. Or if it's a shirt that looks like someone neglected to add a collar to.
