Jesus Christ I cannot count on "fast fashion" when I need an emergency suit for meetings next week. Just a bunch of ill fitting bullshit on their racks. H&M is horrifying and I can fuck with some stuff at Zara but their suit sizing just isn't working for me.

Honestly thought a band collar shirt was a collar shirt you get at the merch booth at Metro or something. I am in the wrong thread.

Just got done with shooting and attending a bunch of events for the New York Fashion Week Men's events. They were so much smaller than what happens in Paris and London and Milan that I don't have a strong feeling they will continue too many more of these.

Re: Clothes houndz.
I've only been here a week and living in a hotel in Kilburn so not really. I'm settling into my place this weekend though and look forward to exploring the local shops. Really looking forward to checking out the original Dover Street Market, and based on a quick walk through think there could be some worthwhile boutiques in Shoreditch where I'll be staying.
Any suggestions on stuff to check out?

Re: Clothes houndz.
Hostem looks great based on the brands they cary, its basically a big list of brands I'd love to wear if I had the money but no job that required me to dress semi-normal. Thanks!

Walking around Savile Row was a bit underwhelming IMO but I really enjoyed popping into the men's grooming shops on Jermyn St. Might be worth checking out if you're in the area.

Re: Clothes houndz.
I've already stumbled across some sample sale sort of deal in my neighborhood. There were some great finds for my girlfriend but the men's selection left a lot to be desired.
Also, as much as it makes me a trendhound, I want to purchase everything Gucci is doing right now for both myself and my girlfriend (but won't). Luxurious materials and the cheesiest of styling make this shit right up my alley.

Re: Clothes houndz.
I think I may be getting my streetstyle photography featured weekly in an online "men's magazine". Also, London style is right up my ally and I'm liking it more than New York's for the most part. Less Bape/Supreme guys and more over-sized black trench coats, wool trousers, and Doc Martens. Girls in layers, short skirts and black stockings, cute derbies, etc etc.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Congrats that is fantastic!
Why do you think London has become more interesting than NYC? Is it at all related to NYC being more commercialized than ever and a somewhat "safe" city? I've not been to London so have no idea what could influence the style.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Thanks Nick,
As for London vs. New York: I can't really say that London has become better as I'm not familiar with London style beyond the heritage brands from here, but I think the style as a whole has been more subdued and more architectural, less about statement dressing and more about cohesive looks.
Really, I don't know the reasons. I think the mentality about dress is just different which could be influenced by social cues, the weather, availability of certain styles, history, etc. New York is brash and young and the "New York Style" reflects that where as I think London has more subtly. It doesn't strike me as a city so far where the appearance of being wealthy is that important.
I'm going shooting this weekend so anyone following the instagram (@amfuku) or website (amfuku.com) and who isn't in Europe can see what I mean.

Yeah, as a style picture that shot is garbage. As a funny shot of Miguel trying to be cool while someone clearly thinks otherwise, it's a 9/10.

I'm pretty boring when it comes to fall / winter. Been wearing a Burberry pea coat for a few years. It's one of my favorite things in the world. Fits perfectly.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Also kind of want a leather biker jacket but don't know if I can pull that off. Plus, if I get one I want basically a piece that will last forever and those are well over $1k. Beautiful Ful has a nice one that is close to $2k but like I said it's hard to justify when you have bills.

Re: Clothes houndz.
I've been wanting a leather perfecto jacket for a little bit but I'm in the same boat with regards to price. I was thinking of getting one of these Arc'teyrx Veilance coats if I can find it for 50% off or something. Supposedly really warm, durable, minimal, waterproof, windproof, etc.
Can't justify that price but I think it would be worth around $700-$800 to me as it should last a while. I would also get to look like a futuristic Robot.
Thoughts?

Re: Clothes houndz.
These look pretty nice but they are still $1,000 so I'm still going to need to hold off. The cow leather looks treated in a way that gives it a plastic look too, but I like the sheep leather.
Thanks.
Also, I think I'm going to take advantage of how Westerners don't know enough about Wooyongmi to pay their retail prices and buy one of their Korean made wool/cashmere overcoats. Seems I can probably get one for about 500 pounds and I like the construction.
Thanks.
