Re: Television Discussion Thread
Ok guys, somebody help me out with this one. I remember vividly a top notch sketch with Bob and David where one of them had lured the other out to the jungle where he’d be hunted for sport (I think David was the hunter). As the sketch progressed, they went through a series of Harrison Bergeron handicaps to make it a fair hunt, and by the end David had blocked his vision, tied his legs together (or something) and even given Bob the murder weapon.

I only really enjoyed a few episodes in the last season, but I loved 'em pretty hard.

Classic shows where some weird copyright law causes the original soundtrack to be... different... in the dvd release. It is... so motherfucking infuriating.
Do any of you know how to get an original copy of MTV’s The State with The Breeders’ Cannonball soundtracking the scene where Michael Ian Black learns that pants are important? Cause without that song, sketch fucking pisses me off.
This is important.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Russian Doll and find it entertaining. I thought Natasha’s character would grate on me at first but by episode 3 I loved every minute of her.

I guess Slate.com is talking about Derry Girls, and it is indeed very funny and very irish.

Re: Television Discussion Thread
I’m predicting the GoT show runners do some crazy stuff next week and lay waste to 99% of the characters we saw in episode 2.
Jon or Danerys survive but not both and everyone else is wiped out by the Night King. Maybe even take out the 2 dragons.

It’s been mentioned, but Cobra Kai is as funny as could possibly be expected, and it’s also just brilliant on the human drama level. Johnny and Daniel are both so damn sympathetic even, and especially, when they are wrong. A+ show, season 2 tomorrow.

Did we ever get to the bottom of whether or not Game of Thrones is worth watching?

It’s a great show that I would say is worth watching. It’s 100 times more engrossing than any random Netflix series and balances drama, fantasy & horror extremely well.

When does it good? I enjoyed the first season (kind of) but found the second season to be incredibly boring.

It never gets consistent. It fluctuates around between great episodes/arcs, time wasting, and shark-jumping nonsense. You're kinda forced to watch all of it.

My take: awful show. More power to everybody else, though. I wish I liked it! Liking shit is fun.

Watching Season 2, Episode four, and holy shit:
- Spoiler:
- looks like Kreese is just a sympathetic fuck-up of a human too! Is this a show with no real villains?!
Edit: yeah I think I made the call way too early on this one. Totally a villain. But it was still nice to see him humanized a bit.

Yeah, I don't know. This doesn't seem like it's for me but it's annoying to always be out of the loop. Even here in Italy everyone keeps asking me if I saw the last episode of Game of Thrones.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been a fanboy of Thrones since Season 1/Episode 1 and found last night’s Battle of Winterfell a disappointing 7/10.

My Twitter feed was breathless this morning raving about the greatest 90 minutes in television history. I'll probably just re-watch The Sopranos instead.

Yeah, it was a huge letdown. They did mess with people’s expectations, but in a bad way.
