There was once a sketch on the Norm Macdonald sports show where Norm and Ron Artest were cowboys in the Wild West, and at one point Norm said to Ron, “That was a mighty nice chunk o shootin’ there.”

SNL sucks for so strictly regulating how their vids are shared, but this is one of the greatest things of all time.
This sketch is my “more cowbell.” This is really a cultural high watermark imhfo:

Was just reminded of this the other day in re the White Sox.
Is Hartman's "to tear the flesh..." line totally original? It has kind of a Hellraiser feel to it, but it's not a quote from anything else, right?
One of those lines that goes deep into the brain like some of the Jack Handey quotes and "for when the metal ones decide to come for you... and they will."

That robot attack sketch is timeless and perfect. So good.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that “to tear the flesh” line is original… makes me think of silence of the lambs obviously, but Hartman’s delivery is such an all-timer.
Popped in to post about I Think You Should Leave again. Probably the most consistently uncomfortable sketch comedy show I’ve ever seen. Short episodes make it pretty easy to binge both seasons in a single day, which I’ve done multiple times. Two classics from one season 2 episode:
Maybe my favorite courtroom sketch since Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer.
When the “Tim Robinson” character in a sketch is played by a respectable looking old dude, it adds such an amazing, unexpected feel. This guy is such a gem.

I think you should leave season 3 good sweet Christ I’m two episodes in.
This is maybe the best sketch comedy I’ve ever seen.

There are so many premises jammed into these scenes, and every one of them could stand as an excellent comedy sketch. The last sketch in episode one where dude offers his card if anybody needs a ride. You watch this, and you’re like, “ yeah, nice. I see where this is going, this is gonna be good.” But then it goes somewhere else. Somewhere that no human ever could’ve foreseen. And it’s the most bugshit crazy brilliant shit ever.

This is maybe the best sketch comedy I’ve ever seen.
This one is still really fucking with me. Maybe the smartest, most relatable, most utterly mind breaking sketch I’ve ever seen:

Yeah, it’s on Netflix. Episodes are really short, like 15-20 minutes. The hit to miss ratio is incredible.

I've been looking for this sketch for years. This is the only mention of it I can find online.

Are the old SNL episodes all still on Hulu? We don't have it anymore but it could be just a matter of borrowing a password from someone I know.
