    I can see the appeal in that it sounds a lot like an Elton John song.

    The video is extremely dramatic as well, I'm not sure if that helped it go viral

    Saw that song performed on the Grammy's featuring Annie Lennox. The guy played a hilarious guitar solo that was better than John Mayer's, certainly. My overall reaction was something like, "lol wtf???"

    Don't know about you but I've always been a bit of a curmudgeon regarding what young people chose to consume, perhaps more so when I was one.

    That said, the chorus of that particular song did get me thinking, "This is the sort of thing that makes old people think milennials are infants."

    When you write a song like this, basically your only job is to not make this sound good, which shouldn't be that hard when you have 7 years of hindsight on your side.
