This is an incredible observation that has been swirling around in my head all day.

I am really enjoying that Dylan album as well. I am not very familiar with any of his discography after 1980. Self-Portrait is basically my cutoff with him. I know there are a few albums in there that critics actually liked but I just never got around to them. This album might finally get me to change that.

As for Run the Jewels, it's a good album. I really like Killer Mike. I think I find El-P's production to be a little one-dimensional though. I only ever listen to RtJ when I am working out or running. If I am just chilling it is kind of unbearable to be honest. The new Gibbs album is much better, imo.

I can't get enough of it myself, it's hard to pick a favorite song they are all so good.  To have heard Bob Dylan, age 79, explain how and why he built a Frankenstein Monster may be the high point of my 21st century musical listening.

The Soft Pink Truth - Shall We Go On Sinning So That Grace May Increase?

This is a stunner from Drew Daniel of Matmos fame. Not like other SPT releases. Not much humor and not the kind of playful, bookish experimenting he does with Matmos. This is a healing album. Grace, in particular, just melted my mind away and then shook me to my core a for the last 2 minutes. Similar to DJ Pythons recent healing album, you might be able to dance to it but this is meant more as a wash away your sins and bathe in the light experience. I hope some of you enjoy it as much as I have.
