Started my day yesterday by passing the fuck out so that's cool.

That fucking sucks, Nick, and I can't help but feel it's a matter of when I end up with shingles.

Gone partially deaf, struggling to hear most of what is said to me and apparently I'm kind of shouting. Hopefully just an ear wax build up and I'll be able to get it out with a few drops but I always thought my good hearing was the trade off for having big pointy ears and if I lose that there's no upside

That is awful. Really hope the drops take care of it.

I've had earwax problems since I was a teenager. Some times I'll go months where I'll be practically deaf for the first hour or two of my day until I finally just use some damn debrox already.

This is gross, but about ten or so years ago I was having a particularly bad bout of this when I went to the doctor. They started going at it with a water pick for like a half hour, finally dislodging the wax and pulling it out, whole. They showed me this long black thorn looking thing, like an inch long, pretty much a mold of my inner ear.

The human body is a disgusting god damned mess and if I could, I’d punch god right in the face right now.

I've had the exact same experience as Duff. You have to be careful with those water picks though. The last time my doctor did that shit the water he blasted into my ear canal got trapped and I had to drive home like that. It was honestly one of the freakiest experiences of my life because it stayed in there for about an hour and it started making me real panicky. Anyways, you can go to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and they will use a vacuum tool to basically suck it out. It's a little uncomfortable but the instrument doesn't really go into your canal.

Anyways, I think this is a really common problem and so hopefully you are dealing with the same shit, Soma. Good luck.

Drops seem to be gradually working their magic, just removed an unfathomable amount of wax and I can now hear what people are saying to me, though not yet at the regular volume. Hopefully back to full strength within a week

Great. One of the things with the drops is that at first they make things worse, but a few days later it's like "Why didn't I do this way earlier?"

My Mom passed away last week, and despite wearing an N95 at all times, at some point during the flight down to Los Angeles to be with her and my sister by her deathbed, I contracted COVID19.  Positive test on Sunday. Mild symptoms thus far, but 2020 sure has one sick fucking sense of humor.
